PRiSM Student leaders application 2022-2023

What is a PRiSM Student Leader?
PRiSM Student Leaders are students who are seeking to grow in their gifts for leadership and ministry within the PRiSM community.  The Student Leaders will work with Becca, Meghan, and other students to make our community as welcoming, grace-filled and reflective of God’s love as possible.

Student leaders will serve for a semester at a time.  They will have general responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to develop new projects individually or as a group.

Student Leader General Responsibilities:
  • Meet with Becca once a month for a one-hour planning and faith reflection meeting.  This meeting will help guide the direction of PRISM from month to month.
  • Attend Tuesday Night Dinners regularly.  Arrive at 5:45 to help set up and stay after for 15-20 minutes to help clean up.
  • Lead one PRiSM Night Dinner discussion each semester either individually or as a group.
  • Attend retreats and service outings as often as you are able.
  • Welcome first time guests attending Tuesday Night Dinners and all PRiSM events.
  • Visit a partner congregation on Sunday morning to share about PRiSM at least once/semester
  • Volunteer at outreach events like the back to school BBQ, Back to School Outreach Activities, etc.
  • Help us invite students to PRiSM with an intentional focus on building a community that is diverse in race, gender identity, sexual orientation, geography, socio-economic background, etc. through various means of outreach

Student Leader Time Commitment: Approximately 2-3 hours a week, including Tuesday Night Dinner.  A few weeks will require more hours, like during back to school or when you are planning to lead the discussion.

Student Leader Stipend: Student leaders will receive a stipend of $350 for the semester.

Qualifications of a Student Leader:  We are looking for students who are responsible, enthusiastic, creative and excited to grow in leadership and in faith.  Undergraduates and graduate students are welcome to apply.  We are particularly excited to lift up undergraduate leadership so undergrads, please apply!
