The Rev. Becca Seely, Pastor
Becca Seely helps lead the way with PRiSM Student Ministry, as well as serving as the director of The Vine NYC citywide campus ministry network and as a Spiritual Life Advisor to students at NYU. She was not raised in church and first began to explore questions of faith when she was in college. As a result, she is particularly passionate about working with young adults who are asking questions about God and what gives our lives meaning and purpose. Becca loves hearing people's stories, learning new things and discovering the unexpected ways God is working in the world around us. In her free time, she enjoys running and biking in Central Park, hanging out with her wife, Abby and two young kids, and planning elaborate theme parties. Becca is a graduate of Yale Divinity School, Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and Wesleyan University. She is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Email Becca at pastor@thevinenyc.org.

Michael DeSantis, Intern
Michael currently serves as an intern with The Vine NYC, where he helps coordinate PRiSM as well as the College Student Pantry and student retreats. Michael is also a Master of Divinity student at Union Theological Seminary and twin who proudly hails from Pittsburgh, PA. Raised unchurched, Michael first began to explore his spirituality through college retreats, and he greatly enjoys accompanying other young adults on their own faith journeys. Michael’s other passions include co-creating group rituals, bringing communities together over meals, and engaging in faith-based activism and advocacy. When he’s not reading about theology for grad school, Michael enjoys baking bread, playing with his cat, and connecting with nature on hikes. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross and is currently pursuing ordination through the Unitarian Universalist Association. He hopes to one day serve as a college chaplain or congregational minister.
